JOIN THE FULL COURT BASKETBALL LEAGUE FOR THE YOUNG ATHLETE

GOAL: The goal of the Northern Border Rampage RAS-SKILLS LEAGUE is to give our young area basketball players an opportunity to experience Full Court basketball. We want to encourage the development and increase the skill level of basketball players at an early age so they can become more competitive both in and out of Section 7.

TEAMS: Local area school district teams will be allowed to participate, No AAU teams. We are seeking out 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grade level GIRLS teams only at this time.

GAMES: Games will be held at Ausable Valley High School (splitting the gym) and Peru Central School for 5 weeks on Sundays from January 10 - February 7th. Teams should expect to play TWO games every Sunday . We will be using High School rules with the following modifications:

*Each game will consist of two (2) 14 minute stopped time halves. Leads of over 20 points in the second half will be running time.

*Pressing IS allowed at all levels until 20 point lead develops.

*Zone is only allowed at 5th-6th grade level.

*3 Full timeouts and 2 thirty second timouts per game.

COST: $350 for each team registered. Once registered and committed there are no refunds. During games, the Home team will provide a score book keeper and the Away team will supply a clock operator each week.

This is an excellent opportunity for our better young area basketball players to experience what real, Full Court basketball is like; to prepare them for modified and high school basketball; to increase their skill level; and to expose them to the challenges that future AAU basketball competition brings.
